Die Spitz announce debut album Something to Consume
Die Spitz detail debut album and share video to lead single Throw Yourself to the Sword
Austin-based four-piece Die Spitz have announced details of their debut album Something to Consume, due out on Friday 12 September 2025 through Third Man Records. The release will be available across digital and physical formats.
The band have also released lead single Throw Yourself to the Sword, which lands today with a high-energy video directed by Emily Sanchez.
“Throw Yourself to the Sword is a high energy ode to what we want young people to feel. There’s a lot of existentialism and despair in other songs on the album that still sheath the same theme, but Throw Yourself to the Sword is the raise of optimism. Despite living in a state of mundanity or hopelessness, you can still rise up and fight the unknown, as long as you’re willing to throw yourself to it,” said Ellie Livingston.
Produced by Will Yip (Turnstile, Mannequin Pussy), the album combines metal, punk, alt rock and grunge across 11 tracks, including the defiant Pop Punk Anthem (Sorry for the Delay) and cathartic RIDING WITH MY GIRLS. The full tracklist includes:

Speaking about the album’s political intent, Chloe De St. Aubin said, “Some people aren’t interested in being political activists via music, but it weighs on me heavily and I feel misaligned with my calling if I don’t.”
