Maisy Kay shares Somebody You Never Touched

English-born, Los Angeles-based pop artist Maisy Kay has unveiled her latest single Somebody You Never Touched. The track lands as she closes a run of UK, European and Australian tour dates supporting Jamie Miller and prepares for her own headline shows.

Following the two-part Wonderlust EPs The Dusk and The Dawn, the new release signals a shift in tone. Somebody You Never Touched leans into fluorescent, super-charged confident pop while exploring the contrasting emotions of regret and empowerment. The “seven years” lyric references the average time for the body’s skin cells to completely regenerate, symbolising leaving the past behind and stepping into a new chapter.

Speaking about the track, Maisy Kay said, “Somebody You Never Touched is based off of the concept that every 7 years, your skin cells completely renew, so in theory, you could be a completely different person, or someone that your ex never touched. It’s a fun song about renewal and transformation, about moving on both mentally and physically!”

Somebody You Never Touched was solely written by Maisy Kay and produced, mixed, and mastered by Mike Avenaim, whose credits include Bebe Rexha, Bea Miller and Lil Nas X.

Maisy Kay’s music fuses nostalgic dance and pop influences with a contemporary edge, drawing comparisons to Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa and Chappell Roan. Her catalogue spans euphoric anthems and introspective moments, often infused with unusual concepts – including using the Na’vi language from Avatar in her track The Beast Within.

Her breakout came via The Storm, a collaboration with TheFatRat which has amassed over 40 million streams and 320 million video views. Subsequent collaborations have included work with Timbaland, Tiësto, R3HAB and Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, as well as a Spotify #1 for her feature on J-pop artist Anly’s Distance.

Her recent tour with Jamie Miller follows extensive runs with JVKE and Tori Kelly. Maisy Kay is currently back in the UK working on sessions for upcoming releases ahead of her US tour.
