We first saw Ward Thomas playing at The Castle, Manchester, back in 2014.  We were instantly…

    In Interview: Jimmie Allen Q&A

    ByEditorial Team

Jimmie Allen has certainly made an impression on the country music scene.  Signed to Stoney Creek, the Delaware born Jimmie Allen released his debut album, Mercury Lane, in October.  The album followed relatively quickly on from his self-titled debut album which was released earlier in the year to huge acclaim. And he shows no sign…

    Chase Rice Q&A

    ByEditorial Team

Just days before speaking to Chase Rice he was announced to perform at the 2019 Country to Country Music Festival. I chat with him at The Ruby Lounge, where he is headlining on his return to Manchester.  It’s a city where he has enjoyed success on previous tours.  He’s laid back and casual in the…

After releasing her new stunning EP Inside This Silence in August, Lauren Ray is heading out on a headline tour of the UK opening at Manchester’s Kings Arms. “I feel more pressure with this one than I did on my other tours” She’s certainly chosen to throw herself in at the deep end on this tour,…

In Interview: Russell Dickerson – “I’m on the road pretty much the rest of my life”

    ByEditorial Team

As I chat to Russell Dickerson he’s sat on his tour bus on the opposite side of the Atlantic.  To say he’s busy touring is an understatement.  Date after date across the US and now he’s returning to the UK. But this doesn’t seem to be an issue to the artist who released the hugely…

In Interview: Arkells – “When we trust our instincts, it’s generally paid off for us”

    ByEditorial Team

With Arkells’ upcoming album Rally Cry set for release on 19 October, the band hit the UK for a run of dates just a few weeks later. Their seven date UK tour sees the Canadian 5-piece performing at Manchester’s Club Academy.  And it marks a welcome return to these shores for the band who performed…

In Interview: Lindsay Ell – “expect a lot of guitar solos”

    ByMark Kelly

Lindsay Ell makes her welcome return to Manchester in October with a gig at the city’s Night and Day. The Manchester gig, one of two UK dates she is playing, marks her return to the city where she performed a joint headline show with Kristian Bush earlier in the year.  And when we say joint…

In Interview: Black Honey “expect a night of completely debauched, unadulterated fun”

    ByMark Kelly

It’s only a few weeks until Black Honey’s self-titled debut album is released and anticipation is certainly building.  A series of festival appearances over the summer, an upcoming UK tour, taking in Manchester Academy, and the release of their truly excellent single Midnight have all helped to build momentum for the band. And now the…
