Dogs return to Museum of Illusions for a tail-wagging Sunday in Manchester
Dog Day returns for one last summer session at Museum of Illusions Manchester
The Museum of Illusions on Market Street will open its doors to four-legged visitors this Sunday 27 July, as it hosts the final Dog Day event of the summer. The dog-friendly session will offer a playful and fully air-conditioned experience for pups and their owners, featuring over 60 interactive exhibits.
Guests can choose from two time slots — 10am–1pm or 5pm–7.30pm — for a chance to explore the museum’s mind-bending installations, including shrinking rooms, gravity flips and surreal mirrored corridors. The sessions are designed with pets in mind, offering water bowls, treats, and fun visual effects perfect for social media snaps.
Organisers are encouraging early booking, with spaces limited and demand expected to be high.
Pet-friendly policy in place for the day
To ensure safety and comfort for all, the museum has outlined the following rules for attending dogs:
-
One dog per adult visitor
-
Only calm, friendly dogs are allowed
-
Short, non-extendable leads only
-
No banned or restricted breeds (e.g. XL Bullies)
-
Owners must bring their own waste bags
With cool surroundings and playful exhibits, the event promises a memorable summer outing for Manchester’s dog-loving families.
