Luvcat announces debut album and Manchester gig

Rising underground icon plots UK, EU, and US tour alongside noir-pop debut album landing this Halloween.

Luvcat will release her debut full-length release, Vicious Delicious, this Halloween through AWAL. Written across a year of impulsive studio bursts and transcontinental escapades, the album is expected to blend noir glamour, dark fairytale lyricism, prowling jazz and punk romanticism.

As well as the album, Luvcat has also revealed details of a UK tour including a Manchester gig at Manchester Academy 2 and Liverpool gig at Liverpool’2 O2 Academy.

The title track is out now, accompanied by a self-directed video that Luvcat describes as a theatrical fever dream of Morticia Addams, Moulin Rouge, and manic, magnetic love.

Speaking about the release, Luvcat said, “Making this album happened accidentally. Amongst the madness of the last year I decided I didn’t wanna fuck around with EPs or mixtapes. I really wanted to make my first proper statement and when I found out Halloween fell on a Friday, I knew we had to be fast to get it together. Its lipsticks a little smudged and its stockings are a little torn, but I am so proud of how we’ve captured this strange, magical story and all the lovers and libertines I’ve met along the way. I think the record is old school romance slightly off its hinges. A swinging pendulum between love and addiction, ecstasy and melancholy, eroticism and innocence, the deliciously vicious and the viciously delicious.”

The album includes fan-favourite He’s My Man, along with Love & Money and Vicious Delicious. It promises a journey of murder ballads to sex-tape serenades to delicious danger.
