Oasis capture historic Heaton Park moment in new live single
Oasis have released a new live version of Cigarettes & Alcohol, recorded during their headline Manchester gig at Heaton Park on Friday 11 July 2025. The track is the latest instalment in their Live ‘25 series and arrives just days ahead of the band’s sold-out run at London’s Wembley Stadium, which begins on Friday 25 July.
The single captures the sixth song in the setlist from a show described as a triumphant homecoming. A total of 340,000 fans are attending the band’s five-night residency in Manchester, with audiences travelling from as far as Japan, Costa Rica, North America, Ireland, and Australia.
Cigarettes & Alcohol (Live from Manchester, 11 July 2025) follows Slide Away (Live from Cardiff, 4 July 2025) and arrives as the band continue their chart resurgence. Compilation album Time Flies… 1994–2009 recently returned to No.1 on the UK Official Chart, while Definitely Maybe and (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? also re-entered the Top 5.
Oasis will release two further retrospective editions later this year: Complete Studio Album Collection on Thursday 22 August 2025, and the 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? on Friday 3 October 2025. Both are available to pre-order now.
