Richard Ashcroft announces Manchester gig at Co-op Live

Richard Ashcroft confirms Manchester Co-op Live headline show and new album Lovin’ You

Richard Ashcroft has announced a huge headline show at Manchester’s Co-op Live on Saturday 8 November 2025. The Manchester gig follows his support slot on Oasis’s summer stadium tour and will come just weeks after the release of his new solo album Lovin’ You on Friday 3 October.

The Lovin’ You album is Ashcroft’s first all-new studio release since 2018’s Natural Rebel. Its lead single Lover has already received widespread UK airplay and is built around an interpolation of Joan Armatrading’s Love and Affection, earning high praise from the songwriter herself: “I love how he’s used my song and I love his song.”

The album spans multiple stylistic threads, blending acoustic balladry, indie-rock and Americana with moments of glitchy electronica. Its production credits include long-time collaborator Chris Potter, Emre Ramazanoglu, and Mirwais (best known for his work with Madonna), who co-writes and produces the track I’m A Rebel. Thematically, Lovin’ You explores romantic resilience and emotional solidarity, addressing life’s struggles with sincerity and warmth.

Lovin’ You will be released on standard vinyl, CD and digital formats, alongside several vinyl variants — including neon orange (artist store), regular orange (Amazon UK) and a blue edition exclusive to independent retailers.

The show marks Ashcroft’s biggest headline appearance in Manchester in several years.
