Russell Dickerson returns with new single Sippin’ on Top of the World
Russell Dickerson drops new single and confirms album release date
Multi-platinum US singer-songwriter Russell Dickerson has unveiled his new single Sippin’ on Top of the World, written by Travis Wood, Casey Brown, and Hunter Phelps.
The track marks a rare outside cut for Russell Dickerson and arrives ahead of his upcoming fourth studio album Famous Back Home, due out on Friday 22 August 2025 via Triple Tigers. The album is expected to blend country-soul, 80s rock, and modern pop, reflecting the duality of his on-stage energy and personal storytelling. It follows his 2022 self-titled album and 2020’s Southern Symphony.
With a warm, midtempo groove, Sippin’ on Top of the World finds Russell Dickerson trading stress for simplicity. The track captures the freedom of country roads and small-town life, offering a snapshot of contentment— no city traffic, a six-pack from the Texaco, and a girl riding shotgun.
The release follows the success of Happen To Me, which became Russell Dickerson’s fastest-rising single to date and reached No. 1 on SiriusXM’s The Highway. The track has now surpassed 120 million streams and continues its climb on the Billboard Hot 100.
