O2 Apollo Manchester

Manchester’s O2 Apollo is a 3,500 capacity gig venue based at Ardwick Green just outside the city centre.

The split level venue can host seated events up to a capacity of 2,693 or standing up to 3,500.

The venue originally opened as the Apollo Theatre, running from 1938  until 1962, when it was rebranded Manchester Apollo.  A further name change occurred in 2003, when it was sponsored by Carling becoming the Carling Apollo Manchester before becoming part of the O2 venues brand in 2010 as the O2 Apollo Manchester.

The building was designed by architects Peter Cummings, Alex Irvine and R. Gillespie Williams in Art Deco style as holds Grade II Listed Building Status.

The O2 Apollo become a solely concert venue in the 1970s and is now operated by Live Nation.

Artists which have performed at Manchester’s O2 Apollo include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The 1975, Dua Lipa, Miranda Lambert, The Offspring, Foo Fighters, Haim and Drake.
