The Sons of Guns release new single I Got It Right
A fresh track with classic vibes
The Sons of Guns have unveiled their latest single I Got It Right, their first new music since their debut EP You Shine The Sun. Produced by David Zincke and Nick Dawes, the track combines tight vocal harmonies with chiming Wurlitzer piano to create a warm, mid-summer atmosphere.
Speaking about the track, David Zincke said: “‘I Got It Right’ is an upbeat, late ‘70s country/blues influenced tune about feeling like you’re getting everything wrong but realising that the one thing you got right is the most important. Love!”
The song’s lyrics echo that sentiment, pairing carefree melodies with a message about finding fortune in love despite life’s missteps.
Visual storytelling with a twist
The accompanying video adds a playful visual narrative, with Zincke facing off against the Grim Reaper in a series of life-or-death games including chess, basketball, bowling and retro ‘70s video game Pong. Despite losing every round, his determination eventually pays off as he finally “gets it right.”
From Nice to international acclaim
Based in Nice, the five-piece—Aymeric Ardimanni, David Zincke, Scott Richman, Jack Daniel and Frankie Connolly—continue to craft Californian-influenced rock with a European twist. Their debut EP gained radio support from BBC Radio London’s Gary Crowley and praise from Jesse Hughes of Eagles of Death Metal. This summer, they have performed across French festivals and outdoor stages, bringing their multi-instrumentalist energy to diverse audiences.
